José María López Sanfeliu, aka Kiko Veneno, started down the path of the fusion between pop and flamenco with a record that is essential in understanding the music of the late 1970s: 'Veneno' ('Poison'). It's been 36 years since then, and although Kiko Veneno has not lost any of the essence of his beginnings, he's reviving the talent and energy of that album and other works that made him famous, such as 'Échate un cantecito' and Sensación térmica' (2013 ), an album in which collaborated with producer Raül Fernández, aka Refree. Flamenco and pop sounds, African refrains, rock chords, and even songs in Catalan on an album born of the sweet, melancholy sound of experience and the newest and freshest vision of today's music.
