MC5 got their start in Detroit in the mid-60s and had a short career that nonetheless helped define the future of punk and hard rock. Their shows were energy explosions, and their three albums true classics, with bands like The Damned, Rage Against the Machine, The Hellacopters, Pearl Jam and Jeff Buckley having covered their work. In 2004 they got back together for a tour that brought them to Spain for the first time. Now Wayne Kramer is back as MC50 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of his work with MC5.
