Versatile Catalan flamenco singer Miguel Poveda dominates various flamenco styles and at the same he's a bit unorthodox, whether it's copla, orchestra or singing in Catalan. During the Pedralbes festival, Poveda presents 'Sonetos y poemas para la libertad' (2015), an album that includes a number of classic and contemporary tunes, which the poet Luis García Montero helped him select. Following García Montero's advice, Poveda has assembled a repertoire of 15 songs that flamenco musician and singer Pedro Guerra has put music to, with the exception of his own poem, 'Soneto del ángel deseado', which Poveda has penned himself.
