The Esperanzah! 2014 festival is a party for social economy and solidarity in Catalonia. On this second day, it's a tribute to a whole generation with live music from Manu Chao (10pm), the founder of Mano Negra and Radio Bemba, a true chronicler of the streets, an artist committed to songs of the people and protest songs here in town with his current band, La Ventura. Rounding out the line-up are electro mestizo group La Sra. Tomasa (12.30am), with their first work, 'Corazón, bombo y son' (2014); Los Niños de los Ojos Rojos (9.15pm), a European folk group with roots in traditional Irish music as well as that from Extremadura, Greece and the Balkans, fused with modern beats, including hip hop; Kimbala (8.15pm), a new band of Galician and French artists with an energetic live act; and LaBandaTonPare (7.30pm), a group with varied influences who play songs from the 1980s and the present with sounds of Brit pop, funk, disco and more.
