This year, with the sponsorship of Martini, Primavera in the Park has become Primavera Vermouths in the Park. And what's better than a tasty vermouth in the park on a spring afternoon? How about a tapa of live music? This series of free concerts shakes up Parc de la Ciutadella from Friday, May 30, to Sunday, June 1. The first round of this festival during the day to get you in the mood for Primavera Sound at night welcomes international artists such as La Sera (2.30pm), where former member of Vivian Girls, American Katy Goodman, bangs out her own intense pop-punk; Canada's Majical Cloudz (3.30pm), who bring their gloomy pop; and John Wizards (3.30pm), alter ego of John Winters, a British producer who surprises with magnificent electronic takes on African music. The local scene is represented by Coriolano (1.30pm), this year's great Catalan pop revelation, setting out to meet all expectations. PrimaveraPro is also getting in on the game, bringing such acts to the park as LNRipley (2pm), proving that Italy also does quality dubstep and drum 'n' bass; Say Yes Dog (1pm) out of The Hague, who, believe it or not, have not got an album under their belts yet, but sound like a great European indie promise; and C + C = Maxigross (12.30pm), Italians who sing in their mother tongue as well as in Spanish and English, and evoke Neil Young and the Grateful Dead.
