It's the last Monday in August as well as the last date of the piano recitals that the Palau de la Música Catalana has organised during the month for the series 'Estiu al Palau' (Summer at the Palau). This time the recital includes pieces by Claude Debussy (commemorating this year the 100th anniversary of his death), Leonard Bernstein (the 100th year of his birth), and Modest Mussorgsky. Spanish pianist Daniel Ligorio plays Mussorgsky's 'Pictures at an Exhibition', the Russian composer's most important and impressive work for piano.
