Curtcircuit 2015: The James Hunter Six

English artist James Hunter, nominated for Grammys for his albums 'People Gonna Talk' (2006) and 'The Hard Way' (2008), carries on with his mission to bring back the sound of classic R&B that got him hooked from a young age. And it seems to be going well because he's toured with such masters of the genre as Aretha Franklin, Van Morrison and Etta James, and he's shared stages with others including Willie Nelson and Chris Isaac. His latest album, released for the first time under the name of his band, The James Hunter Six, is 'Minute by Minute' (2013). Hunter wanted to recognise the work of the musicians who have been with him for the last two decades and who have also played key roles in helping him record again after the death of his wife in 2011.
