It's been a long time since the American duo MGMT exploded onto the global scene with their generational hit 'Kids', from their celebrated debut album, 'Oracular Spectacular' (2007). Members Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser, after having made the world dance with singles like the aforementioned 'Kids', as well as 'Time to Pretend' and 'Electric Feel', decided to take a less commercial route on their progressive and psychedelic second album, 'Congratulations' (2010), which carried on with their eponymous third effort, 'MGMT' (2013). And this year they've got their mojo back with 'Little Dark Age' (2018), an interesting return to psychedelic pop with big songs like the title track, 'When I Die' and the practically parodic 'Me and Michael' (check out the wild music video).
