Excepter are one of the most unclassifiable groups to come out in the last decade on the American experimental circuit. Founded in New York in the early 2000s by John Fell Ryan (formerly of No-Neck Blues Band), their music ranges from psychedelia, dub, electronica and pop, with long jams where they use compositional method similar to bands like Throbbing Gristle or CAN. It's a special occasion to see this reputed band live: you might have seen them on the cover of The Wire magazine in 2010, but they haven't played in BCN since 2005. This tour coincides with the release of their new album, 'Familiar' (2014). Opening for them is Vida, a Barcelona post-punk duo with sounds from no-wave, pop, psychedelia, improvisation and song.
