Blick Bassy Trio

Blick Bassy sings in Bassa, one of the 260 languages spoken in Camaroon, and which is at risk of extinction. He describes the music of his third album, 'Akö', as afro blues folk. Accompanied by instruments that are not frequently used in African music, including the cello and the trombone, Bassy's voice navigates between blues and a certain New Orleans sound, traditional African music and the artist's personal taste.
