Blackcelona 2014: The Oldians

The Oldians started out in spring of 2001 with the clear idea of making Jamaican jazz. Since then the group has stood out from the wave of bands with similar intentions on the world stage in the late '90s, marked by an approach to ska jazz dominated by rhythmic acceleration. The earliest sounds of Jamaican music and its relationship to the language of jazz are in expert hands with The Oldians.
