Binos Barros Band

Bino Barros was born on the island of Santiago in Cape Verde, where musical styles are dominated by Funana and Batuku from Western Africa, and these have enriched Barros's natural talent. Since he was 20 years old, he's been involved in bands and projects that he's travelled with throughout Africa and Europe. His godmother and musical patron was the great Cesária Évora, who his most well-known song ('Sodade') is about, and he's been awarded with the prize for Best New Artist by the Cabo Verde Music Awards. His performance at Jamboree will include the presentation of his latest album, 'Praia Maria', recorded in Paris.
