BCN Ska-Jazz Orquestra

The BCN Ska-Jazz Orquestra is a project that started out in mid-2014 under the influence of two great scenes: 1960s Jamaican music, and jazz. What the orchestra does is bring together jazz greats such as Dizzy Gillespie or Charlie Parker with the roots of The Skatalites, Rico Rodríguez or Don Drummond, a combo that has them interpreting jazz standards with a Jamaican essence, revisiting great reggae classics, and surprising audiences with their own compositions.
