Barcelona Obertura: Rodelinda

Until not long ago it was one of the least-known and least-performed operas by Georg Friedrich Händel. But that's changed recently, so good news for us as 'Rodalinda' comes to Barcelona's Liceu opera house, where it's never before been seen. Of the six performances, the one on March 8 falls in with the 'Barcelona Obertura' initiative. Josep Pons is musical director and Claus Guth stage director. Principal cast members are singers Lisette Oropesa and Bejun Mehta, accompanied by the Liceu's own chorus and orchestra.
