Barcelona Big Blues Band & Blas Picón

Inspired by big bands from the 1940s and the smaller jump blues or R&B bands, the Barcelona Big Blues Band (B4) was born out of a desier to fill a gap on the Catalan scene: an energetic and danceable big-format band, but with a blues orientation. The project, promoted by the tireless Capibola Blues association, has some of the city's best musicians of the style, and a wide repertoire of classic and proprietary arrangements – all under the direction of Ivan Kovacevic. B4 is for those who want to cut a rug as well as those who want to sip a smooth drink and sit back and listen. This March session brings in special guest singer and harmonica player Blas Picón.
