The Antiga Fàbrica Damm gets in on the BAM action during the Mercè festival with two days full of music that get going on Sunday 24 with a programme mainly featuring groups from the Iberian peninsula: the debut of Kou Keri Kou (5.15pm), an eclectic five-piece band made up of musicians who have established careers in various underground pop groups and mix popular music of diverse origins with sharp lyrics; from Lleida it's Renaldo & Clara (6.15pm), with the smooth voice of Clara Viñals leading up surprising harmonies and winning pop melodies; quintet from Madrid Melange (7.15pm) with a curiously homogeneous mix of post-rock, psychedelic rock, folk from a multitude of origins (Sephardic, West African, Celtic, Berber, Indian, etc.), jazz and medieval music; pop with Anglo-Saxon roots from Mallorcan artist Joana Gomila (8.15pm); singer-songwriter Pau Vallvé (9.15pm) with his epic pop, presenting a new album, 'Abismo caballo invierno primavera y volver' (2017) in the format of an electric quartet; Afropop from Mallorcans Zulu Zulu (10.15pm), presenting their debut album, 'Defensa zebra' (2017), which combines the shininess of contemporary psychedelia with a certain atavistic connection. Closing the night are Spiral Stairs (11.15pm), the alias that Scott Kannberg used instead of his name when it came time to sign the first releases for Pavement, when he and stephen Malkmus started the group in 1989; it's also the name of Kannberg's solo project.
