BAM 2017: Girlpool + Nilüfer Yanya

This double bill on the first day of the BAM (Barcelona Acciò Musical) festival in Plaça Joan Coromines features Los Angeles duo Girlpool (10.30pm), who turned into a trio by adding a drummer for their second effort, 'Powerplant' (2017), an album where their personal punk-folk is a bit more classic alternative rock; and Nilüfer Yanya (midnight), a young artist from Barbados of Turkish and Irish roots who's one of the UK's new talents with her mix of R&B, soul, alternative pop and jazz, and who has released two EPs, 'Small Crimes' (2016) and 'Plant Feed' (2017).
