Tony Allen (11.50pm) is the big name on the bill for today's BAM performances at the Fòrum. Musical director for Fela Kuti's Africa 70, Allen is the father (along with Kuti) of Afrobeat, the exciting mix of jazz, soul and highlife with multiple rhythms borrowed from the musical tradition Yoruba, which was conceived in the 1970s. The rest of the line-up includes the five-piece guitar pop group from Madrid Los Punsetes (12.50pm); Barcelona trio Nueva Vulcano (11pm) with their rock with a pop sensibility; the sharp and raucous pop of Londres Shopping (10.15pm); the hypnotic krautrock of Valencians Jupiter Lion (9.30pm); the electronic sounds of The Suicide of Western Culture (1.40am); and the union of Pau Roca, who shakes up the local electronic scene, and Badalona producer Sau Poler (2.30am).
