Among the variety of music you'll hear at Moll de la Fusta, first up it's Gabriel Garzón-Montano (9.30pm), a multi-instrumentalist born to a Colombian father and French mother – origins that might not seem to fit with his contemporary urban sound with a touch of the classic – sounds like a mix of James Blake, Prince and Stevie Wonder, and he makes his live debut in Spain tonight. Dengue Fever (11.30pm), a project from American musician Ethan Holtzman, is a band that features the voice of Cambodian singer Chhom Nimol; they'll present their fifth album, 'The Deepest Lake'. Mdou Moctar (12.30am) shares a surname with Bombino (who's also performing during the festival, on the 23rd), and, like Bombino, he's a Tuareg from Niger who brings electric guitar to the traditional music of his people. But Mdou adds another twist on the hybrid of rock and Tuareg rhythms that we call desert rock: he also throws synthetic effects into the mix, giving, for example, an expressive use to autotune.
