Time Out says

Barcelona opens its arms for the third consecutive year to give a warm welcome to the only event in the city dedicated to the celebration of music and cultures from the Balkans and Eastern Europe. The 12-hour BalKaBarNa Festival, on at the Antiga Fàbrica Estrella Damm, has music as the centrepiece of its programme, bringing in various international bands and well-known groups on the local scene. Activities of the day will complement the live music with workshops, conferences, things for kids to do, and a food area. One of the main aims of the festival is to bring the different communities of Balkan origin who live in Barcelona together in a space where everyone can show off the characteristic elements of their culture, including food, traditional music and dance, kids' games, screenings... The musical part includes the only concert in Catalonia of the master Ross Daly, accompanied by other teachers of the laboratory-school Labyrinth, and presenting Aälma Dili, a French string quartet whose repertoire is greatly inspired by Balkan music. The line-up also brings together Meskhane, Klezmer Band, Balkumbia and DJ Click.
