50th Voll-Damm Festival Internacional de Jazz de Barcelona: Kyle Eastwood

A standout jazzman among his generation, Kyle Eastwood (yes, another son of Clint's) has released eight albums in the last 20 years since his first in 1998. He's shown his daring and experimental talent with incursions into terrains such as electrojazz, hard bop, smooth jazz and the most urban rhythms. On 'In Transit' (2017), his latest effort, Eastwood works a bit with groove, paying attention like never before to the melodies, and he covers pieces by jazz legends such as Count Basie, Thelonious Monk and Charlie Mingus.
