50th Voll-Damm Festival Internacional de Jazz de Barcelona: John Scofield Combo 66

John Scofield, along with Pat Metheny and Bill Frisell (all of them are playing in this 50th edition of the festival), is part the most influential jazz triumvirate of the last 40 years. His signature sound and improvisational talent have influenced several generations ever since, in the mid-1970s, Billy Cobham, Charles Mingus and Gary Burton were captivated by his talent. Scofield touches down in Barcelona at the head of this Combo 66, where he shares the stage with four of the most sought-after musicians of contemporary jazz (including Bill Stewart on drums).
