Amadou Bagayoko and Mariam Doumbiamet in the late 1970s in an institution for the blind in Mali. And even though previous to that they'd already recorded gorgeous music together between Bamako and Paris, the 2004 release of 'Dimanche à Bamako', produced by Manu Chao, made them global stars of African music. The pair are back in Barcelona to present 'La Confusion' (2017), an album with flashes of electronica that shows the duo are still making excellent, singular and danceable music.
