48th Voll-Damm Festival Internacional de Jazz de Barcelona: Las Minas Puerto Flamenco

De Cajón!, part of the Barcelona International Jazz Festival, presents the show Las Minas Puerto Flamenco, an idea that came out of the famous and prestigious Las Minas flamenco festival in La Unión (Murcia). With more than 50 annual events under its belt, the Festival Internacional del Cante de Las Minas is one of the most important dates on the flamenco world calendar. This seal of excellence isn't just a coincidence but the result of rigorous work and high standards of artistic excellence. In 2014 it was awarded the Gold Medal of Merit in the Fine Arts, and it's the only flamenco festival that bears the offical Marca España.

Las Minas Puerto Flamenco is more than 100 minutes of music and performance in which the artists show off the talent that deservedly won them prizes from the Cante de Las Minas. Ten artists take the stage, each one tops in their own speciality, during this non-stop show where participants interact: singers with guitarists, dancers and percussion, flamenco flute and cajón.
