48th Voll-Damm Festival Internacional de Jazz de Barcelona: Hiromi, The Trio Project

Japanese jazz pianist Hiromi Uehara, who now lives in the USA, presents 'Spark' (2016), her fourth album as part of a trio, that has featured various musicians over the years. The latest incarnation is bassist Anthony Jackson, who has performed with Steely Dan, Paul Simon, Michel Camilo and Chick Corea, amongh many others, and drummer Simon Phillips, who's played with Toto and rock legends such as Jeff Beck, David Gilmour and The Who.
