45 Voll-Damm Festival Internacional de Jazz de Barcelona: ACS (Allen, Carrington & Spalding)

This trio is composed of three stellar musicians: pianist Geri Allen, Terri Lyne Carrington on drums, and bassist Esperanza Spalding. They were brought together by Carrington's Grammy Award–winning 'The Mosaic Project' (2011), which featured female jazz artists of different generations. Their music is rich and complex, and includes standards from the American Songbook, modern jazz (Eric Dolphy and Wayne Shorter) and original compositions. Elegant, experimental and musically ambitious.
