Madeleine Peyroux is one of the great female voices of jazz. Born in the United States but initiated into the world of music in the streets of Paris, the singer has forged her career around reinterpretations of blues and jazz songs and has often been compared to Billie Holiday. She's in town to presents her latest work, 'The Blue Room' (2013), which began as a look back on Ray Charles's album 'Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music', but has grown to include other works from Charles, Randy Newman and Warren Zevon.
