1st African Gospel Choir

The 1st African Gospel Choir is aptly named, as it actually is the first of its kind in Barcelona. The choir, most of whose members are from Nigeria, was started and is directed by Joe Psalmist, musician, producer and singer with the Alma Afrobeat Ensemble. The choir performs classics of American gospel, a few jewels of popular African music, and some rare pieces that differentiate them from any other group of their ilk, like 'Que tinguem sort' by Catalan composer Lluis Llach and 'Cotton Fields' By Creedence Clearwater Revival.
