The Taller de Músics, Barcelona's prestigious music school based in the Raval, celebrates its 40th anniversary with a huge party in the Sant Antoni neighbourhood. This means bringing back an event that boosted the city's jazz scene in the 1980s with names like Tete Montolio and Lluís Vidal Trio, among others: 12 hours of non-stop jazz. On June 15, head to the stage installed in Ronda de Sant Antoni, where, from noon to midnight you can see and hear various street bands playing around the Sant Antoni market, among them local stars Andrea Motis & Joan Chamorro Group; Monique Makon & Original Jazz Orquesta with Back to Amy, a tribute to Amy Winehouse; the soul of Sara Terraza along with The Black Sheep; and A Free K, who once played with the great Miles Davis. Of the 127 musicians participating in this free party, 90 percent are linked to the Taller de Músics, whether they're current or former students, teachers or collaborators.
