Four days of LGBTI Pride celebrations take over Barcelona June 26 to 29
LGBTI culture takes over the streets of Barcelona thanks to the annual Pride celebrations, and there are all kinds of parties and events going on, plus loads of fun to be had for everyone who wants to be part of it. This year, head out to celebrate love, diversity and unity under the slogan 'We Are Family' with things to do during the day and at night, for families of all kinds. Happy Pride!

The Aire hall in Arena Classic is where you'll find Divina, this most popular of parties for LGBTI ladies and their friends. The best music and the most loyal clientele are here every weekend, and this weekend they're doing it up in even more style to celebrate Pride. Diana, Atenea and Afrodita will be on hand to make sure your celebration is the best it can be.
Every month the folks at Fúria Queer put on their party at Sidecar in Plaça Reial, and this month they're going all out for Pride. Sidecar and the Association of Friends and Businesses in Plaça Reial have joined forces to transform the square into a big old Disco Party. The idea is to 'celebrate diversity, freedom and respect' on a 'day of visibility and recognition with pride'. So you're invited to shake your booty to the beat of electronic music from the team at Sidecar along with the Fúria Queer DJs. It's one of this week's can't-miss events!
There are plenty of ways to celebrate LGBTI Pride, but only one is as good for your bones as this one. La Leche! Barcelona Pride Edition invites you to dress in clothes as white as milk to spend a night dancing to the beats of DJs Elad Navon and Arnaldo Novais. Sounds like Ibiza with fun guaranteed by the Matinée group, Pervert and Scruff.
One of the highlights of the Pride celebrations is here: the Pride parade! The LGBTI community takes over the streets of Barcelona and fills them with colour, fun and its own light, fighting against LGBTI-phobia and with the slogan 'We are families forever!' The floats gather together at 5pm in the Parc de les Tres Xemeneies and, after an hour of pre-party, at 6pm, the delegation heads out from there to Plaça Espanya via Av. Paral·lel. Two and a half hours of celebration, recognition and heaps of warmth among the community. There's also a heatwave in store, so remember to bring fresh water and get ready to shout to the world about how much you love each other!
With several days of partying and a big parade behind you, you might be ready to call it a day on Pride 2019, but how can you possibly miss the closing party? Muster up the last of your pride and energy and try to avoid the arrows of love shot by Karina, dance along to the powerful vocals of Chenoa, and enjoy the irreverence of Terremoto. Tamta, Inna, Vengaboys and Merche Mar, all hosted by Sharonne, will do the rest.
