Time Out says

Kids in Barcelona and their families get lucky with programmes like Minimúsica, a team that started out ten years ago with the goal of bringing modern music to a family audience. With 150 concerts under their belt, Minimúsica has managed to find a way to get parents to want to stick around during a kids' concert, while kids don't feel like they're dragged to see music they're not interested in. Dare we say that Minimúsica has brought families even closer together?

To celebrate the tenth anniversary since the first edition with Los Carradine, Vizcaya, and Loli y Manuel, among others, in the long-lost Sala Castelló, the Minimúsica gang are putting on a huge party in none other than the Sala Apolo, where you can see performances by some of the musicians who played a fundamental role in the start of the festival. El Petit de Cal Eril turn on their psychedelic sounds; Joan Colomo, a classic on the programme, is there as well; and the brilliant Fred i Son, Papa Topo, and Miqui Puig are at the decks with a selection of hits to get the whole family dancing. In addition to the music, the party also features an air guitar contest, cakes and prizes.

What's more, the proceeds for the tenth anniversary Minimúsica celebration go to buy Kings' Day (Jan 6) presents for kids who might otherwise not enjoy opening gifts on that special day on the Catalan calendar.
