Time Out says

Ale is a transvestite who works collecting rubbish and lives in a settlement known as Rose Village where only gays and trans people live. On her daily route, she finds the personal diary of a young woman who has just died leaving her husband, Manuel, and their daughter, Julia, on their own. 'Mia' (Argentina, 2011) is a delightful film that addresses the right to happiness and to be part of a community for those who live outside the social norm.
