Paulo, a fragile-looking young pianist, lives with his girlfriend, Anka, but one alcohol-fueled night out he meets Ilir, an Albanian bassist and waiter, and it's love at first sight. ‘Hors les murs’ ('Outside the Walls') (Belgium, 2012), the first film from director David Lambert, is an homage to ‘The Umbrellas of Cherbourg’.
