Time Out says

This is not your typical burger joint. It’s also not like the modern spots that have popped up all over the city, excessive in their variations but poor in the fundamental factor, the quality of the meat. This is a complete restaurant, which has won the Time Out award for best burger and is nearly always full of fans. It could be due to its owner and jack of all trades, Bosqui Ferreira, or maybe it's because word has it that Gerard Piqué and his pals occasionally stop in.

They really do what they do right, and you can tell right away. Not only are they the masters of of their speciality, burgers of great quality and standards, they're also the masters of other temptations on the menu – some are even vegetarian – and the appealing set lunch menu (starters, main dishes that include the burger of the day, and dessert) at a good price.

The day we stopped by, the starters included a seasonal cream of vegetable soup with truffle aroma; a Mediterranean salad with a variety of greens, tomatoes, carrots, boiled egg, tuna and a red-berry vinaigrette; and peas with cubes of bacon, onion, and a fried egg sauce.

Options for the main course, in addition to the burger of the day, included an excellent baked cod with tomato sauce and fresh vegetables cooked in – just to show they do more than burgers at The Snob. 'All of the burgers are made with 100 percent Galician meat,' says Bosqui. 'They’re prepared with the best meat in the country, chopped the same day, and with no additives or preservatives.' If you tend to stay away from red meat, The Snob offers 150g chicken burgers, with spinach and pine nuts, as well as seasonal vegetables – a real find.

Our expectations grew even more when we spotted the basket of high-quality ketchup next to the Dijon and Antigua mustards – a condiment detail that not many burger places bear in mind. The star burger (the aforementioned award-winner) boasts foie gras, and mashed potatoes with a touch of truffle. Leave room for dessert, as they're all either home-made or from fantastic bakeries. For the area, the quality you get for the price is a wonderful surprise.
