Ten-hour marathon of Texas terror with the showing of five films that will let you spend an entire night watching five horror classics. Screams with mix with humour at the first screening of the night, ‘The Cabin in the Woods’ (8pm), which mixes up and plays with the genre’s rulebook to mess with the audience’s heads, while the hand of co-writer Joss Whedon is evident in its ironic tone; things get more serious with Tobe Hooper’s iconic ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ (10pm) and Leatherface’s mechanical saw; the macabre games in the terror-comedy ‘You’re Next’ (midnight) are following by another classic, ‘The Evil Dead’ (2am), Sam Raimi’s first full-length feature. If you’re feeling brave enough, stay in your seat for the surprise screening, which will see the marathon viewing end around 4am. All the films are shown in English with Catalan subtitles, and to make the experience even better, Mexican restaurant ‘Sabes una cosa’ is offering a well-priced pre-cinema supper, free Moritz beers will be served throughout the night, and there will be a prize draw thanks to Annexia Shirts, with film-themed t-shirts up for grabs.
