Assault on Precinct 13 + The Thing + Prince of Darkness

It's a marathon night dedicated to John Carpenter, including one of his first thrillers, 'Assault on Precinct 13', a face-off between gangs of delinquents and the police in a Los Angeles precinct. Also on the bill are two of Carpenter's big horror films: 'The Thing', which takes place in a research station in Antarctica, where a team of researchers discover a strange being from outer space; and the demonic 'Prince of Darkness', where a priest believes he has discovered the resting place of Satan.
