Mel Brooks dares to parody one of the icons of classic terror here, presenting us to the young doctor, Frederick Frankenstein, a US neuro-surgeon who is trying to escape the stigma left by his grandfather, responsible years before by creating a horrible monster. However, when the grandson inherits the Frankenstein castle and discovers a scientific manual that explains the steps involved in bringing a corpse back to life, he starts to construct his own creature. Assisted by the hunchback Igor and the curvaceous Inga, the doctor creates a being whose only wish is to be loved.
