Everyone's Irish at some point, and with this classic among his filmography, John Ford got to fulfill his dream to visit the land of his forefathers. He'd always considered himself a son of the Emerald Isle, a place where not only his family came from, but also his sensitivity and his poetic soul. It's a similar love story between John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara, if not a tad more brutish.
