One of De Palma's biggest hits is this remake of the Howard Hawks 1932 film of the same name. With a screenplay by Oliver Stone, 'Scarface' brings the story up to date (to the early '80s, that is), with Al Pacino in the role of Tony Montana, a cold-blooded Cuban immigrant who sets himself up in Miami as a big-time drug lord and gangster.
