Sala Montjuïc 2019: Isle of Dogs

Enjoy a film on the big screen in the outdoor setting of the Montjuïc Castle gardens. Tonight it’s Wes Anderson's 2018 animated feature 'Isle of Dogs', for which he won Best Director at the Berlin International Film Festival. Banished from Megasaki city after outbreaks of snout fever and dog flu, cute canines are dumped on Trash Island and left to fend for themselves amid piles of garbage. Read the full Time Out review.

As usual, there’s a concert before the film, this time with samba and Brazilian music by Sambala. Plus you can catch the short film 'Matilda', by Irene Iborra and Eduard Puertas. The feature films in this festival are in their original language with Spanish or Catalan subtitles.
