'Hell or High Water' superbly portrays economic insecurity and desperation in the United States, engaging the spectator in its tense atmosphere. Under pressure from the bank, Toby and Tanner are in danger of losing the family farm. In an attempt to save their inheritance, the two brothers head to western Texas to rob a number of small banks. However, a veteran Ranger is soon on their trail, determined to catch them.
