Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster), a bright university graduate specilising in psychopathic behaviour who's in training to join the FBI, joins the hunt for Buffalo Bill, a serial killer who skins his female victims. In order to become familiar with his behaviour patterns, Starling interviews Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins), a former psychoanalyst and assassin with superior intelligence held in a maximum security prison.
