Euripides's 'Medea' is one of the most dramatic stories of betrayal ever written. In this version of the myth re-created by Thomas Noone the audience are witnesses to love and hate, admiration and contempt; you'll see how the characters compete with each other through the use of a rich, complex and highly physical dance featuring a contrast between buoyancy and moments of exquisite fragility and intimacy. The dancers tint their own reality accompanied by an evocative video projection. For the audience it's like seeing your own weaknesses in a mirror, exposed by the characters who do harm and are harmed. The skill and strength of the dancers are enhanced by an electronic soundtrack enriched with contemporary urban influences.
