Musica: Ferran Savall. Choreography: Shantala Shivalingappa
In 2007 Pina Bausch chose a Ferran Savall song to choreograph a dance for Shantala Shivalingappa that was used in the show 'Namasya', which toured internationally. Ever since then Savall and Shivalingappa have collaborated on other shows. Now, in a singular event, Savall plays new improvisations and pieces from his repertoire while the Indian dancer performs the beautiful gestures of Kuchipudi, a sacred dance from southern India. The combination of the two artists is an experiment, a frank and open dialogue between two musical and body languages of very different traditions.
