Piknic #9: Galaktika

Galaktik is a label headed up by Maurice Aymard, with roots in Caracas and headquarters in Barcelona's Gràcia neighbourhood. Despite its youth, the label and artistic collective is excelling at meeting the goal it set for itself: to musically connect Europe and America, giving support to established producers on both sides of the Atlantic, as well as young talent. In this afternoon's edition of Piknic, the label's boss (7pm) will be accompanied by others such as Brazil's Gui Boratto (8.30pm). With his own style, the DJ has found a way to build his own wall of sound that has brought him to venues around the world, and helped him collaborate with famous artists including Pet Shop Boys and Goldfrapp. If you want more after the day out, the party keeps going at La [2], from 10.30pm.
