Kirk DeGiorgio, better known by his alias As One, is a British techno DJ and producer. Born in the late 1960s in London, he started producing music at the start of the 1990s, quickly becoming one of the most representative figures in the first wave of intelligent dance music (IDM). He founded the independent labels Applied Rhythmic Technology Records (ART) and Op-Art Records, publishing music on both as well as on B12 Records, R&S Records and New Electronica. His style is a mix of Detroit techno with soul and jazz sounds.
