Time Out says

One Sunday a month, Sala Apolo gets all dressed up to welcome the Barcelona Jazz Orchestra, and this time around Biel Ballester as well, who will perform jazz manouche from the 1930s. These sessions fill the hall with an almost magic atmosphere that transports you to another time, when big bands played the soundtrack for jazz lovers of all ages and more than a hundred dancers. The party this Sunday is dedicated to the Swing Kids, non-political middle-class young people who followed English fashion and danced to this so-called wild and depraved music en Nazi Germany and in occupied Paris during WWII. Persecuted by the Nazis, the Swing Kids used their passion for swing and jazz and their clandestine parties to face the fascism of the time. This is going to be a very special night, so come dressed in your best 1940s fashion and feel the magic of the golden age of swing.
