The contrast between Barcelona and London, both stages of the struggle for constitutional freedoms of Catalonia against dictatorship, is the leitmotif of an exhibition that brings to light manuscripts of political stakeholders, graphic information about the site and the assault of September 11, 1714, contemporary publications and other background materials from the Historical Archive of the City. The exhibition, 'BCN Tricentennial: 1714 Archives: A sentenced Barcelona, 1713-1714' will also be used to introduce visitors to the Pau Ignasi Dalmases library. Dalmases was the last Catalan ambassador to London and was a great collector of documents and forms that testify to the state of high culture in Barcelona in 1700. The installation is complemented by an audiovisual programme that shows Dalmases as a man of culture, as well as a programme of guided tours in the lobby and the Sala Dalmases.
