This is the first Camille Pissarro (1830-1903) retrospective exhibition in Barcelona. His rural scenes, which were an education for such famous names as Gauguin, Cézanne and Van Gogh, are the focus of this exhibition, which aims to restore the reputation of Pissarro not only as 'the first Impressionist' but also as a teacher of modern art pioneers.
