On the Way to School

Selection of photos from the project 'Sur le chemin de l'école' ('On the Way to School'), which consists of a French documentary and a photograph exhibition. The film, winner of the César for best documentary and with more than 1.5 million viewers in France, tells the story of four children, Jackson, Carlitos, Zahira and Samuel, who have had to face a multitude of adversities and dangers just to get to school. The children live in four very distant corners of the Earth, but they share the same desire to learn, and they're aware that education is the key to opening doors to a better future for them.
